Эван Пенни – признанный мастер ручного творчества, создающий из простых материалов, таких как силикон, резина, и прочие материалы, настоящие скульптурные шедевры.
Работы, представленные на нынешней выставке Пенни, проходящей в Art Gallery of Ontario, создавались в течение более 10 последних лет. Все они – отражение оригинального видения мира художника.
Автор в своих работах пытается показать людям, что объеты могут существовать в самых разных формах. Но восприятие их человеком очень определенное. Человеческий мозг мгновенно автоматически анализирует себя и принимает в двухмерном измерении и отрицает в трехмерном или искаженном виде.
В основе скульптур Пенни как реальные люди, служившие моделями, так и цифровые имиджи, обработанные компьютерными программами.
