Project Arrow β€” a concept car from the Automotive Parts Manufacturers Association and more than 50 collaborators β€” opened the Media Day preview of the 2023 Canadian International AutoShow, where the electrification of the automobile was a big focus.

Project Arrow is the first entirely Canadian zero-emission vehicle. An all-electric concept was designed, engineered and built in Canada with parts made entirely in Canada.

Answering the challenge of the Canadian government to be at Net Zero by 2050, Project Arrow is inspired by the incredible innovation story of the famed Avro Arrow fighter jet. In one prototype vehicle, it’s a showcase of technology developed, commercialized and built in Canada.

North American premiere of Project Arrow took place on January at CES 2023 in Las Vegas. Concept debuted in Toronto, Canada, at the Canadian International Autoshow2023 on February.

Project Arrow Concept was designed by four students from Carleton University's School of Industrial Design and built at Ontario Tech University's vehicle engineering facility. Nearly 60 suppliers provided components to create the concept.

Financing for the project came from Canada's federal and provincial governments. Combined price of it is $8.2 million.
