Happy 70th Anniversary to the Canadian international Air Show!

To showcase 70-year history, the Canadian International Air Show feature aircraft from each of theseven decades of its existance at this year show.

The Canadian International Air Show (CIAS) (August 31 to September 2) celebrates its 70th anniversary this
year with a spectacular new show.

To salute its special anniversary, the Canadian International Air show is proud to welcome the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team the Red Arrows as part of their North American Western Hawk 19 tour.

The Red Arrows are renowned as one of the world’s premier aerobatic display teams, having performed close to 5,000 times in 57 countries since 1965. Flying nine BAE Systems Hawk fast-jets, the team showcases the excellence of the Royal Air Force and demonstrates the global reach and capability of the Service, together with representing the best of British at home and overseas.

Also featured in the 70th Anniversary show is another stellar aerial acrobatic jet team: the beloved Canadian
Forces Snowbirds. The Snowbirds return to the CNE to electrify crowds with their extraordinary aerial maneouvers performed by nine amazing pilots who come from across Canada.

It is an experience not to be missed!

To commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the Canadian International Air Show, the space just west of the CNE's Rose Garden was transformed into all things aviation on August 31, September 1 & September 2.

Visitors had chance to see the Royal Canadian Air Cadet Glider on display as well as historical and new age aviation displays.
